Team Markets - Early Value

With 3 rounds left to go and betting agencies opening a few early markets we are taking a look at where to find some value in the leader for each club. TAB are currently allowing mutlies so throw these legs together for tasty $8.43.

Adelaide – Rory Laird $1.05

Clearly Adelaide’s best player this year. We have him 5.9 votes clear of the next player which is Tex Walker. The big fella cooled off after a hot start, and won't be returning for the remainder of the season due to an off-field indiscretion. Back Rory in with confidence and take the 1.05 for a nice little boost to the multi.

Brisbane - Jarryd Lyons $1.30

Averaging 28.6 disposals Lyons is having a career best season and will likely nab an All Australian nod. Lyons came 2nd in Brisbane’s Brownlow votes behind Lachie Neale last year. With Neale having a shocking Brownlow hangover due to injuries and form we reckon Lyons should get the job done here. He is 5.6 votes clear of the next best Lions player so take the 1.30 now which won’t be available in 4 weeks time.

Collingwood – Jordan De Goey $2.50

Robert Harvey is getting the best out of Jordan De Goey plonking him in the midfield at every opportunity. He has averaged 30+ disposals since Harvey took over from Bucks and is relishing in his new midfield role as the pies have ditched the boring defense focused footy. We currently have De Goey 4.2 votes clear of Pies next best. With Pendlebury done for season and not stealing any more votes we expect to see Jordan keep this lead.

Geelong – Cameron Guthrie $1.30

8.4 votes clear with 4 rounds to go? Yes please! In 2020 Guthrie unexpectedly polled out of his skin finishing 1 vote behind Paddy Dangerfield. This year he has averaged 8.6 more disposals and is having a much improved season. With Danger only playing 10 out of 20 games so far and votes hard to come by for the big Tomahawk up forward this as good a value you will see.

GWS - Josh Kelly $1.90

Kelly has had another consistent year for the Giants averaging 25.6 disposals. Despite having 2 first names you can trust him to poll being a consistent vote getter since 2017. Toby Greene is the closest completion 4.7 votes behind. We are confident this enough to hold on, especially with Toby likely to have another brain fade and fly kick an opponent in the head.
